WWE is a complicated workplace, and many people can attest to that. The inherently political nature of the past year only made things worse. Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows made their way to WWE in 2016, and they had a mixed run in the company.

Gallows and Anderson had a tremendous run in NJPW as well, where they won the IWGP Tag Team Championships. After making their way to WWE, both of them had trouble adjusting to WWE’s way of going about things.

According to PW Insider, there had been overtures from WWE to Gallows and Anderson back when Vince McMahon was still in charge. However, talks between the two sides fizzled out, due to both of them already being burnt by the company once.

Anderson and Gallows were released by WWE shortly after WrestleMania 36 in 2020, with the Boneyard match being their final appearance in the company. Regardless, it is unlikely they will return to WWE anytime soon, if ever.
