WWE threw the Women’s Tag Team Titles in a closet and locked it when Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of the company because of Vince McMahon’s bad booking. It seemed the titles were to remain dormant, but Triple H changed all that. The shift in power within WWE brought those titles back and a tournament was started; that being said, the tournament didn’t go smoothly
Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark were unable to participate in the tournament, and they were replaced by 2/3 of Toxic Attraction. Then Gigi Dolin was taken out of action with a concussion, leaving WWE to pick up the pieces once again.
Reports emerged that Dolin’s injury nixed a main roster call-up for her and Jacy Jayne. That isn’t true at all.
Ringside News was told that, Toxic Attraction “were never called up.” A tenured member of the creative staff further elaborated to say that, “A whole bunch of things got every substitute and substitute match canceled (visa problems, injury). So they were called up for a quick hit in the tournament.”
It is as simple as Dolin and Jayne filling an empty space. That isn’t to say their main roster call-up won’t happen, because it’s 100% likely, especially given their talent and connection with fans.
Triple H has a lot of plans for the roster he has available to him on RAW and Smackdown. He even brought in a few key people he wants to make Superstars. Toxic Attraction’s time on the main roster is likely coming, but they’re not in The Game’s immediate vision.
