WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world. He is also a controversial figure in the pro wrestling world, mostly due to his troubling relationship with WWE. He was on the rocks with WWE, but they brought him back. Recent developments saw him depart from WWE once again.

Jeff Jarrett made his return to WWE in May of this year, working backstage with the company. He was hired as Senior Vice President of Live Events. However, he was then fired recently.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that for the time Jeff Jarrett worked in that position, the live events business went up significantly.

Ironically Brian James was hired a few days after Jarrett was fired, as Vice President of Live Events. Not that I’m crediting him with this, but during that four month period the live events business has gone up significantly. We’ve also heard mostly strong reports from those at the live events. This was a surprise, but in talking to people at the company, it shouldn’t have been. Bringing Jarrett back to the company was believed to have been a move Bruce Prichard suggested to Vince McMahon, and he’s not a member of the Paul Levesque team. It opens the spot up to someone that Levesque hand-picked from his own team.

Road Dogg was recently hired back by WWE and he took over Jeff Jarrett’s role in the company. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Jeff Jarrett now that he is no longer in WWE.
