Rey Mysterio is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling whose influence in the industry is far-reaching. His contributions to the business cannot be understated. He brought his son, Dominik Mysterio, to WWE a couple of years ago, and the two are a fine team. That being said, true fans of WWE will know that was not the first time we saw Dominik.
Back in 2005, Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero were engaged in a storyline over the custody of Dominik. While speaking with Fox News, Rey Mysterio revealed how the 2005 storyline led to problems in school for his son.
“I remember talking to one of his teachers and I know Dominik was getting harassed constantly. They were a bit concerned about the situation, about him being in the middle of a situation that was uncomfortable. But after one of his teachers approached him and said, ‘is everyone OK at home? Are you sure, Dominik? Is there anything we can do to help?’
After Dom told me that, I remember approaching the teacher and telling her as you know this is all part of the entertainment business. Nothing that is happening on TV is real. So, everything is OK no worries.”
Rey Mysterio is currently feuding with Judgment Day on Monday Night RAW. It is likely he will team up with Edge and Beth Phoenix for a match at WWE Clash At The Castle as well. We’ll have to see how their feud will be booked in the coming weeks.
