Mustafa Ali had a lot of potential following his main roster debut in 2019. Unfortunately, none of it was realized as he was involved in numerous failed and uninspiring angles. It turns out that one idea WWE had for him would have seen him borrow a very famous theme song.

Ali was engaged in a feud with Austin Theory for the WWE United States Championship. Unfortunately, he was not able to beat Theory for the title a few months ago. He is still going in Triple H’s vision of WWE.

Since that match with Theory, Ali has not really done all that much. Ali also used to have a controversial American gimmick, but that was scrapped. A fan took to Twitter and suggested that Ali should use Hogan’s entrance music as his theme song since “real Americans” come in every shape, size, and skin tone. Ali revealed that it was actually the plan for him at one time.

“…at one point that was the plan!”

Ali also opened up about having no representation in WWE. He recently teased a character change under Triple H’s regime. We’ll have to see if that will happen or not. If anything, there is no shortage of ideas in WWE nowadays.
