Victoria was one of the mainstays in WWE’s women’s division from 2002 to 2009. She competed against numerous stars such as Trish Stratus, Lita and more during her time in the company. Now she is able to look back at her career and speak candidly about how it all went down.
Victoria’s Widow’s Peak was viewed as one of the most devastating finishing moves by a female pro wrestler. She defeated numerous opponents over the years with it, but they weren’t all successes.
While speaking with Alyx’s World, Victoria talked about her finisher. She recalled the time she got heat on her after Lita kicked out of the Widow’s Peak in the past, and she was yelled at backstage over the incident.
“I think, one time, Lita [kicked out of the widow’s peak], and it was Lita, and I got yelled at backstage. I was like, ‘Well, if anybody’s going to kick out of it.’ They’re like, ‘You never let anybody kick out of your finisher without help or a foot on the ropes or something. I don’t remember where [or] when the match was. I’ll be honest with you. It was before the cage match, but I got a lot of heat backstage.”
Victoria was last seen during the 2021 Royal Rumble. We will have to wait and see whether she will return to WWE for one last run or not. She might have teased a retirement tour prior to the pandemic, but Victoria seems more than ready to give it another shot.
