Punk returned to Dynamite three weeks ago and had a face-off with Interim World Champion Jon Moxley. The two opened last week’s episode of Dynamite with an intense back-and-forth verbal exchange. Then their title match was pushed up to this week.

Punk and Mox squared off for the Undisputed AEW World Championship during Dynamite this week. The match was unexpectedly short as Mox practically squashed Punk, who was unable to wrestle properly due to his injured foot. After taking two Death Rider DDTs and a pinfall, Punk was assisted to the gorilla by the ringside attendants.
