Chris Jericho Believes WWE Squandered WrestleMania 33 Match With Kevin Owens

Chris Jericho’s contributions as a pro wrestler are well documented. He competed in various promotions all around the world for three decades. He also believes WWE squandered his match with Kevin Owens.

One of the highlights of Chris Jericho’s last run in WWE was certainly his program with Kevin Owens. The two became one of the top attractions for the company back in 2016 and early 2017. The two would split up during the Festival of Friendship segment, where Owens betrayed Chris Jericho in epic “Red Wedding” fashion.

They faced off at WrestleMania 33 for the United States Championship, where Owens won. Many fans didn’t like the booking as well as their position on the card. A fan stated on Twitter that WWE squandered their WrestleMania 33 match, and Chris Jericho simply agreed with the fan.

Jericho also isn’t interested in returning to WWE to face Kevin Owens again. Chris Jericho is currently engaged in a feud with The Blackpool Combat Club on AEW television. It remains to be seen how the feud will develop in the coming weeks. If anything, Triple H fought with Jericho about the Festival of Friendship segment. So, The Game gaining control of WWE creative might not entice Jericho to go anywhere.
