Austin Theory worked hard to establish himself as one of the most gifted young stars in WWE. He got his first break back in NXT thanks to Johnny Gargano’s The Way and soon found himself on the main roster as Vince McMahon’s protégée.

Austin Theory improved tremendously under the tutelage of Vince McMahon, as he saw great success in the past several months or so. This is especially the case now that he is Mr. Money In The Bank
Vince McMahon was forced to retire last month after a slew of allegations were made against him. In turn, Stephanie McMahon was made the CEO of WWE while Triple H was made the head of Creative. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that WWE will continue to push Austin Theory under Triple H’s rule.
“Dolph Ziggler is kind of the odd man out because they were gonna run with Ziggler and Theory at all the (house) shows to give Theory… the idea is to give Theory opponents that will give him experience, because Theory is the one that they really want to groom, and it appears Levesque hasn’t done anything to change that. They like the guy – good size, good look, very good athlete, just needs ring work.”
It seems the plan is for Johnny Gargano to feud with Theory for the time being. That is a very logical place to start, and perfect for Triple H’s booking. We’ll have to see how WWE will be booking their feud in the coming weeks now.
