CM Punk captured his first major title in nearly a decade when he defeated Adam Page for the AEW World Championship at Double or Nothing on May 29, 2022. Unfortunately, Punk suffered an injury and had to take a break from wrestling.

AEW booked a tournament to crown and Interim World Champion. The title was won by Jon Moxley, who defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view event on June 26, 2022.

Mox and Punk will collide in a title unification match this Wednesday on Dynamite. BetOnline have released the betting odds for the big match and Punk is a clear fan favorite heading into the match.
