CM Punk debuted last year at AEW Rampage: The First Dance and instantly became one of their top stars. He worked with several top stars since then, especially against Adam Page.

The Second City Saint kicked off AEW Dynamite last week with a promo. He called out Adam Page and issued a rematch to him for the title. However, Page never showed up, and CM Punk dubbed the entire thing as ‘less important.’ He even called Page a coward.

CM Punk’s promo on Adam Page was not part of the plans and was a shoot. In fact, Punk even got heat on himself due to the promo. While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray ripped CM Punk for creating a bad perception of Adam Page with his promo.

“If you are going out on road like that, the other guy has to know about it. Because you are now creating an environment that’s not comfortable. First of all, you are creating a perception that your home grown babyface is actually a coward and is not going to answer the call. Not a good perception thing. So listen, this Wednesday on Dynamite, I honestly feel that Hangman has to respond in some way shape of form. Within the context of storyline.”

CM Punk’s promo on Adam Page was also a receipt for what Page had said about him months prior. We will have to wait and see whether Punk and Page’s beef will end or not.
