Management within WWE has been changing rapidly for the past month. Certain executives within talent relations are either getting fired, released or promoted. The latest rehire may come as a surprise.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, there is word that WWE is interested in bringing back Ryan Katz, Katz had been a vital part of the NXT team from a creative perspective for nearly seven years before he was released in January.

We’ve heard that Katz is expected back if he isn’t already, and had remained close with several in NXT. There were some rumors last month that he could already have been back in the fold, but if not, the interest was already there on WWE’s end.

Katz has been hosting a podcast along with Road Dogg.

In addition, Katz appeared in Wrestling Society X as Fabian Kaelin, and in TNA as Minion. He also did motion capture for several WWE Raw vs. Smackdown games, appeared as a Rosebud, showed up in the Vaudevillain’s titantron video, and was a part of Kane and Daniel Bryan’s anger management skits.

It’s unknown if Katz will be assigned to Raw or Smackdown or NXT. With his experience during the Black & Gold era of NXT, then the creative knowledge is definitely welcomed.
