Mustafa Ali showcased his potential at the Cruiserweight Classic in 2019 and appeared in Triple H’s version of NXT several months after the tournament concluded. Since then, Ali has been on a mission to get a sustained push in World Wrestling Entertainment.

The 205 Live star made his main roster debut in 2019. Fans expected a lot from him but Vince McMahon rarely let him showcase his full potential. Ali was removed from television after an argument with Vince McMahon.

Triple H took charge of WWE’s creative direction and that brought a lot of attention to rarely-used superstars. Mustafa Ali recently took to Twitter and hinted at a character change.

i’ve always found myself toning down who i am to be more “marketable”…and because of that i find myself trying to find myself. im pakistani. im indian. im american. im muslim. im mustafa ali. and im gonna embrace all that. screw being marketable. im gonna be a message.
