Johnny Gargano Wanted His WWE Return To Be A ‘Legit Surprise’

Johnny Gargano was a fan favorite superstar of NXT before running out of his WWE contract. His departure from NXT upset many fans but now he’s back to WWE. Gargano recently admitted that he wanted his WWE comeback to be a “legit surprise.”

Johnny Gargano took to Twitter to address his WWE return on Aug 22 RAW. He said that he always “wanted it to be a legit surprise” and seems to be happy with how things were executed. Johnny finally declared with a hashtag that “Johnny Wrestling is back!”

After a commercial break during the third hour of RAW, Johnny Gargano’s song abruptly began, shocking the audience. When Johnny Wrestling entered the ring, the audience gave him an amazing reception. His sequence ended with him delivering a superkick to the head of Theory before performing a brief HBK dance.

Throughout Johnny Gargano’s free agent status, WWE remained interested in re-signing him. We previously reported that throughout the procedure, the company was understanding and considerate of Gargano’s needs and vacation time. When Triple H seized authority, WWE believed they had a much stronger chance of re-signing Gargano. Let’s see what’s in store for Gargano next.
