Edge Called Out For Becoming Just ‘Another Wrestler On The Card’

Edge is considered to be one of the greatest superstars in all of WWE. His return to action after nine years off due to injury was never expected by the fans. Although his recent booking has been mixed with criticism.

Former WWE writer Vince Russo spoke about Edge on his podcast “Writing With Russo” show. Russo questioned why the Hall of Famer is currently feuding with Damian Priest and Finn Balor: The experienced writer went into great detail regarding his booking.

When you’re throwing Edge in there with Finn Balor and Damian Priest, he’s another wrestler on the card. I swear to God, Chris [host Dr. Chris Featherstone], sometimes I get so tired because it’s the writing, it’s the writing… it is the writing! That’s what creates stars! You’re putting them in the right position. That’s what creates stars.” [2:33-3:02]

Russo’s points are valid. The writing has been mixed for Judgment Day as a whole ever since Edge was kicked out of the group in early June. But Raw is going through a transition so we’ll see what happens in the near future.

The August 22nd episode of RAW will feature a match between Edge Priest. Earlier this year, Priest joined forces with Edge to help him defeat AJ Styles at WrestleMania 38. However, just two months later, Priest and fellow Judgment Day members Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley surprisingly kicked the leader out of the group. Of course, we’re all hoping for twists and turns in that storyline.
