CM Punk debuted last year at AEW Rampage: The First Dance and instantly became one of their top stars. He competed against numerous top stars since then, especially against Adam Page.

The Second City Saint started AEW Dynamite this week with a promo. He called out Adam Page and issued a rematch to him for the title. However, Page never showed up, and CM Punk dubbed the entire thing as ‘less important.’

CM Punk’s promo on Adam Page was not part of the plans and was a shoot. In fact, Punk even got heat on himself due to the promo. While speaking on the Keepin It 100 podcast, Disco Inferno criticized CM Punk for buying Adam Page with his promo.

He’s basically calling a guy out. It’s not booked that way, and the guy [Page] doesn’t come out because this isn’t booked. He can’t come out. He totally buried the guy, right? (…) That was his receipt to Adam Page cutting his promo on him. Basically, he just went out there just he buried Adam Page knowing they couldn’t do anything about.

CM Punk’s promo on Adam Page was also a receipt for what Page had said about him months prior. We’ll keep you updated on this developing story right here at Ringside News.
