Back in March, WWE fans were utterly shocked when Big E was dumped on his head by Ridge Holland via a belly-to-belly suplex on the outside of the ring. Big E was said to have suffered a broken neck due to the bump, and that sadly ended up being the case.
Big E then revealed that he will not be needing any surgery. E also shared a very unfortunate update regarding his recovery. Things are getting better for Big E now thankfully. Holland apologized to Big E and even sent him a ton of red meat as a gift, and Big E forgave him.
While speaking with Metro, Holland reflected on the spot that caused the injury. Holland was also worried about getting stigma over injuring Big E.
‘It was a massive knock to my confidence. The main thing is that E’s functional, he’s OK, he’s gonna live a full life. From a personal standpoint, I’d like to get in the ring more and show people what I can do because there is a stigma there with the Big E thing. So, I wanna show people what I can do and how good I can be, and wash that stain off my back.
Big E also holds no animosity towards Ridge Holland for the injury. E will also be content if he never wrestles again. It remains to be seen when Big E will finally make his triumphant return to WWE television, but fans can’t wait for that day to come.
