Jurassic Express won the AEW World Tag Team Championships on the January 5th edition of Dynamite. While the moment is looked upon fondly by fans, Jungle Boy holds a different view.

Speaking on Steven’s Wrestling Journey, Jungle Boy said he didn’t like the injury that occurred during Jurassic Express’s Tag Team Championship match against The Lucha Bros. The AEW star felt the injury almost soured the moment of pulling down the titles.

Winning the tag team belts was really cool. I kind of didn’t like the way it happened, exactly, there was some stuff that went wrong at the end. Fenix got hurt, which is never nice, and there were some hijinx going on that I didn’t fully love. Still, to win the tag team belts in the best wrestling company in the world with my best friend was a really special experience.

It is true that some fans even thought at the time that the wrestling dinosaur and Jack Perry winning those titles was an improvised decision due to that injury. They were actually supposed to win the titles that night, and it’s not hard to see why Jungle Boy would feel the way he does about their big moment.

Jurassic Express lost the championships in a ladder match to The Young Bucks. Afterward, Jungle Boy was betrayed by his mentor Christian. Jungle Boy recently challenged Christian to a match at the upcoming All Out pay-per-view. We’ll continue telling their stories as they develop right here at Ringside News.
