Tommaso Ciampa was certainly one of the highlights of NXT throughout his run in the developmental brand. He was part of solid feuds, especially with his eternal friend/rival Johnny Gargano. He also commented on Triple H being the head of WWE Creative and how that has changed his own path.
Triple H was appointed as the head of WWE Creative after Vince McMahon retired last month, much to the joy of fans all around the world. It also meant a lot of changes for WWE talent.
While speaking on the Out of Character podcast, Tommaso Ciampa talked about Triple H taking over WWE Creative. Ciampa made it clear he hasn’t changed anything for McMahon or Triple H.
“That is what I did in NXT with Hunter (Triple H) and it worked, said Ciampa. “I wasn’t going to switch the formula for Vince, and now that it is back to Hunter, I’m not going to switch the formula for Hunter. If you want me to change or do something different, sure lets have a conversation about it.
There is way less pressure when your goal is I just want to be better. There’s no pressure in that. What do you got to do to get better? You’ve got to show up and do the work. For me it doesn’t matter who is in charge, I’m just going to show up and do the work.”
Tommaso Ciampa was unable to defeat Bobby Lashley for the WWE United States Championship on Monday Night RAW this week. We’ll have to see what else is in store for him now. Odd are with Triple H in charge, Tommaso Ciampa will be okay.
