WWE legend Shawn Michaels has been with the company for decades. While he retired after fighting The Undertaker at WrestleMania 26 in 2010, he also stayed away from any official titles within WWE. He later came back to the Performance Center and became a trainer. The legend recently explained how the call-up process in NXT can be improved.
Shawn Michaels has also received a promotion. WrestleNomics’ Brandon Thurston took to Twitter and revealed that Michaels is now appearing in a WWE press release under a new title. As per the release, Shawn Michaels is now WWE Vice President of Talent Development Creative.
Shawn Michaels is referred to in the press release as WWE Vice President of Talent Development Creative, the first time I’ve seen a title for him.
Michaels has had quite a ride over the years in WWE. After he started helping out at the Performance Center, he became a trainer for the finishing class in 2017. He worked alongside Terry Taylor. In 2018, he took the roles of writing and being a producer at WWE NXT.
Triple H and Michaels worked together at NXT, though he had to take the reins when HHH struggled with health issues back in September 2021. It seems with the new role, Michaels will have a greater role in WWE programming.
