WWE expanded to the UK market with the introduction of NXT UK in June 2018. The brand launched followed the introduction of the NXT UK Championship, which was bestowed upon the winner of a 16-man tournament.

NXT UK is home to some of the best wrestlers in the United Kingdom. This includes the likes of Tyler Bate and others. The likes of Pete Dunne and Gunther left the UK and made their way to the US as well.

There was also uneasiness in the NXT UK roster after their television tapings were cancelled. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about NXT UK’s situation and said that the stars are worried right now.

There are many people in NXT UK who are presuming that it’s not long for the world, there are people in NXT that are presuming, with Blair Davenport being back, there are a couple of other people on their way on, NXT UK has cancelled next year’s tapings. There are all these signs but WWE has not announced anything officially. Nobody’s been told ”Oh no no you don’t need to worry.” So, the people in the UK who were not called into the United States are very worried.
