Last year, AEW built up the feud between Eddie Kingston and CM Punk. The feud further intensified after the scathing back and forth promos between CM Punk and Eddie Kingston on an episode of Rampage. It culminated in a bloody war between the two at AEW Full Gear, which saw CM Punk pick up the win in the end.
During AEW Dynamite this week, CM Punk cut a scathing promo on Jon Moxley. During his promo, Punk also mentioned that Eddie Kingston “is the third-best Eddie” and the “second-best Kingston” he has stepped into the ring with. He seemingly referred to Kofi Kingston.
Kingston took to Twitter after the promo and hit back at CM Punk for mocking him. He certainly did not mince any words in his tweet.
“Of course the c*nt says s*it when I’m not there.”
We will have to wait and see whether Eddie Kingston will feud with CM Punk again in the future or not. Fans would love to see that happen.
