Wardlow has been one of the best things about AEW in the last few months, and it was a slow and gradual path. The All Elite Wrestling TNT Champion won’t be defending his title at the upcoming All Out pay-per-view on September 4 in Chicago, Illinois. He will compete in a trios match instead.
In a TNT Championship match at Battle of the Belts, Wardlow defeated Jay Lethal, who had been feuding with him and his team of Satnam Singh and Sonjay Dutt for the past few weeks. Following the bout, Singh attacked Wardlow, setting up a match between the two titans that many believed would take place at All Out in the future.
However, on a recent episode of “Dynamite,” Warlow answered Dutt’s summons, and the ROH World Tag Team Champions FTR joined him. The group then defeated Lethal with a “Big Rig.” The two trios have since decided to compete against one another at All Out on this past week’s “Dynamite.”
In a promo, Singh questioned Wardlow’s strength and challenged him to powerbomb him during the match. Dutt and Singh will make their AEW pay-per-view debuts in this match after making their debuts alongside Lethal on the April 13 episode of Wednesday’s show.
Wardlow has only twice successfully defended his AEW TNT Championship since defeating Scorpio Sky to win the title; the other contest was against Orange Cassidy. The 34-year-previous old’s match was against MJF at Double or Nothing, making this his first pay-per-view as the champion. Stay tuned to Ringside News to get latest news and updates.
