WWE Hall Of Famer Teddy Long remains one of the most beloved figures in the history of WWE. He was the General Manager of Smackdown during the Ruthless Aggression era and he performed his role to near perfection.
Long would become arguably the most iconic General Manager, being famous for dancing to his own theme song and having famous catchphrases. This included him booking stars in a match against The Undertaker.
Many talent were overcome with terror when hearing the news from Long that they “will go one on one, with The Undertaker!” While speaking to the MuscleManMalcolm YouTube channel, Teddy Long explained how the famous catchphrase came to be.
“This is really the truth. One time I was sitting down and we was talking to Vince. Vince wasn’t really talking to me. He was talking to somebody else and they went on and they introduced somebody. Vince stopped him and he said ‘No, you have to make my stars mean something when you introduce him.’ I heard that and that’s all I did. The Undertaker and Vince liked it. So that came from me.”
The Undertaker is also booked for an event before WWE Clash At The Castle. Teddy Long is also enjoying his life after retirement and that is all that matters right now.
