Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat Set for AEW Dynamite Appearance

One of the most notable names in professional wrestling is set to make a special appearance on AEW Dynamite this week.

Tony Khan took to Twitter today and announced that former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat would be appearing on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite as the special guest time keeper for the show.

@HBO ’s @HouseofDragon we have the perfect special guest timekeeper for the event: Ricky The Dragon Steamboat, one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all-time, making his return to @TBSNetwork tomorrow night @ 8pm ET/7pm CT!

It was not revealed if he will be the time keeper for the entire event or just one match but either way fans should be excited to see the WWE Hall of Famer on national television.

Steamboat has never appeared on AEW television before, so this will be his first appearance for the company. Steamboat made several appearances for MLW back in 2019 and an appearance on the February 25th, 2019 episode of WWE RAW in a segment to celebrate the 70th birthday of Ric Flair.

• 2 out of 3 falls match: Bryan Danielson vs. Daniel Garcia
• AEW Trios Championship Quarterfinal: The Young Bucks and a mystery partner vs. Andrade El Idolo, Rush and Dragon Lee
• Toni Storm vs. KiLynn King
• Varsity Club vs. Gunn Club
