AJ Styles has been touted as one of the best pro wrestlers by both fans and wrestlers alike. He has competed in numerous promotions all over the world, including the likes of TNA, NJPW and now WWE.

Earlier this year, Styles signed a new contract with WWE, where he will be making $3 million a year. This is because WWE sees a lot of value in AJ Styles and wanted to ensure he sticks with the company for a long time.

Prior to this, many fans believed he might go to AEW and join The Young Bucks. While speaking with Inside The Ropes, The Phenomenal One was asked about going to AEW. Styles made it clear WWE will always be his home.

“I want to be with WWE and as much as I’d like to be with my friends [who are in AEW], this is what I know, this what I know is expected of me, I understand what they need here in WWE, and I want to be a part of it.

Like I said, this is a business. I’m going to go where business is best for AJ Styles…Was it close? I wouldn’t say it was close for me.”

AEW also made no play to get AJ Styles either. It remains to be seen what the company has in store for The Phenomenal One as he is in it for the long run.
