WWE Criticized For Lacey Evans’ Bizarre Comeback

Lacey Evans made her return to WWE television earlier this year after being away for a very long time. She came back and stopped her Southern Bell gimmick, becoming a marine in the process.

Evans was a regular on SmackDown before she was pulled from television on the July 29th episode of the blue brand. Michael Cole stated that Evans wasn’t medically cleared to compete.

While speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette stated that Lacey was a good heel, but WWE completely messed up her return. He obviously didn’t see the value in the way WWE decided to use her.

“She was a good heel, she had personality,” said Cornette. “She had a good heel demeanor. Haven’t seen much of her wrestling but it didn’t look like it was rotten as I recall. But how she got there to being a heel was the most ignorant way to build a heel I’ve ever seen.

Evans was feuding with Aliyah before she was pulled from WWE television. We’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for her when Evans makes her next appearance on WWE television.
