Chris Jericho is one of the most prolific pro-wrestlers out there. While the AEW superstar has gone through decades worth of experience in the field, he’s remained constantly entertaining. Even after reaching the veteran level, he’s still going strong.
Pro-wrestling is often criticized for its overblown storylines and choreographed segments. However, the mortal threats that pro-wrestlers face while performing are very real. Any unforeseen circumstance or lack of coordination means a likely chance of getting injured. Many AEW superstars have faced injury this year alone.
Chris Jericho took to Twitter and showed off the wear-and-tear his big toe went through. He posted a picture that showed the gruesome condition of his foot. He coupled the post with a caption that satirically mocks the sentiment that people have toward pro-wrestling.
Wrestling is fake, right? @AEW
Jericho isn’t a stranger to real injuries, either. He recently faced the high stakes at AEW Dynamite, after which he needed several stitches. The star has also recently called out a reality TV show for being a scam.
AEW was dragged for showing Jericho blade himself during the barbed wire match. Jericho himself isn’t too keen on going through a barbed wire match any time soon. However, he was also blasted for his hot takes on death matches recently.
