Roman Reigns sits unopposed atop WWE’s mountain of superstardom. The Tribal Chief hasn’t been pinned in two years and recently surpassed 700 days as Universal Champion.
Reigns is the top star on the SmackDown roster, despite not appearing regularly on the blue brand. The Head of the Table was featured on SmackDown last week but, according to Sean Sapp from behind a paywall, isn’t confirmed for the show tonight.
We’ve not gained confirmation that Roman Reigns or Sheamus will be on the show, but that their props were shipped to the site of Smackdown.
Reigns was about to confront Drew McIntyre until Karrion Kross showed up and attacked the Scottish Warrior from behind last week on SmackDown. Kross is expected to challenge Reigns at some point in the future.
Reigns will put his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line against McIntyre at Clash at the Castle on September 3rd. Ringside News will have all the coverage from the show.
