Jacqueline was one of the mainstays of the women’s division during the Attitude Era in the WWE. She assumed a role as the new on-screen “girlfriend” of Marc Mero.
The former WWE Superstar then engaged in a feud with Sable. The two first competed at SummerSlam 1998, as Jacqueline teamed up with Marc Mero and faced Sable & Edge.
The two had a back-and-forth rivalry over the WWF Women’s Championship as well. While speaking during a live Facebook stream hosted by Captain’s Corner, Jacqueline revealed that she really did not want to do the infamous bikini contest at Fully Loaded 1998.
It saw Jacqueline winning on a technicality after Sable was disqualified for wearing nothing more than two hand-shaped stickers covering her chest.
“We had chemistry in the ring. I loved working with her and I had no problem with her. It was fun at the time. Then, they wanted us to do a bikini contest. I didn’t want to do the bikini contest because I’m a wrestler. I’m a trained wrestler and I want to wrestle.”
Jacqueline added that the audience ate up the bikini contest and she still hears to even now that she deserved to win because Sable wasn’t technically wearing a bikini.
