Kris Statlander is one of the mainstays of the AEW women’s division, and no one can deny that. Statlander previously had a paranormal gimmick and was billed as coming from the Andromeda Galaxy. She also made a promise after a recent injury.
Kris Statlander and Jade Cargill were engaged in a feud for the past few weeks, as Statlander teamed up with Athena to take on Cargill and her baddies. It was likely that Statlander and Cargill would have clashed for the TBS Title in the future.
Unfortunately, it was then announced on AEW Dynamite this week that Kris Statlander suffered an injury and was subsequently pulled from the AEW Women’s rankings.
Kris Statlander took to Twitter and commented on her injury, revealing that she did suffer a knee injury. Statlander then promised that she will come back stronger and more than a woman.
Welp. One knee fixed, one to go. After the first knee injury I came back stronger and better than ever so it’s all over for you all when I come back from this one. I’m sorry to let you all done once again. I’ll be back bigger, more powerful, and more than a woman.
Statlander suffered an ACL injury in June 2020 and was out of action until April 2021. We wish Statlander a speedy recovery and hope she returns sooner rather than later.
