Ric Flair finally got the opportunity to retire on his own the way he wanted to. The Nature Boy teamed up with Andrade El Idolo against Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett on July 31st, 2022. Ric Flair also regrets promising his retirement.

Ric Flair took some scary bumps and even bled during the match, something that he promised to do long before. In the end, Ric Flair won the match and fans were glad he didn’t suffer any injuries.

Speaking on the To Be The Man podcast, The Nature Boy revealed that he regrets promising his retirement with his last match. In fact, The Nature Boy had to turn down a chance to wrestle again after that Starrcast match.

“I wish I hadn’t said it was my last match. That’s gonna get heat. Hell, they wanted me to wrestle in Puerto Rico in Saturday night. I said ‘Guys, I cannot get in the ring one week later.’ And the guy looked at me and said ‘Well, you know what, could retire in Puerto Rico can’t you?’ No, no, no that’s not the point,”
