John Cena is a 16-time World Champion and carried the company on his back throughout the PG era. Cena eventually became a part-timer due to his Hollywood obligations as well. He also won’t be present during WWE’s next big event, despite his recent return to WWE television for a one-night appearance.

Big Match John finally returned during an episode of Monday Night RAW last month. It was there to celebrate his 20th anniversary with WWE, so naturally, he reminisced about his career in the company.

John Cena has not been seen since that episode as well. While speaking at Wales Comic Con, the 16-time World Champion confirmed that he will not be present for the Clash At The Castle event on September 3rd.

“I’ve been coming to Cardiff to fight for 15-plus years, and every time, it’s exciting and amazing. I’m not going to be at Clash (At The Castle).”

It is to be noted that Cena previously uploaded a video which made people believe he’d be there for the event. Cena said that he is Clash at the Castle’s “opening act” while at the convention, meaning that he is only in the country before WWE makes their trip overseas. However, in actuality, he will not be in the country when Clash At The Castle happens.
