Bryan Danielson’s accolades as a professional wrestler most definitely do not need any introduction, as they proved to be one of the best in the business. He spent several years working in WWE as one of their top stars and towards the end of his run, Bryan Danielson was even part of WWE creative. He had many memorable moments in WWE, but that doesn’t mean he loved them all.
Danielson’s ‘yes’ chants have become one of the most iconic chants in pro wrestling. Danielson shouting the word “Yes” was inspired by former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez.
While speaking on The Sessions with Renee Paquette on Starrcast V, Danielson revealed that he hated the ‘yes’ chants During WrestleeMania 30. The iconic image of him holding two titles at the end of the night sucked for him in retrospect.
I’ve never had the knee-jerk reaction to do the yes! I either purposely did it on my own thinking that this was really funny and fun, or I was forced to do it.
That picture that they have got behind me, that is from the main event of WrestleMania 30 where I have two titles. My neck was in really bad shape and the people at ringside went ‘Keep yes-ing! Keep yes-ing!’ I was like oh this sucks.”
Bryan Danielson would eventually leave WWE and made his way to AEW, where he has certainly been having a great time working at the top level with numerous talents, especially the Blackpool Combat Club right now. We’ll have to see what’s next for the Bearded GOAT, but he certainly racked up a lot of memories in WWE.
