AEW Dynamite Results for August 03, 2022

It’s Wednesday and you know what that means. AEW Dynamite will go down tonight and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage.

Excalibur welcomes us to the show and the first man out tonight is Orange Cassidy! Jay Lethal make his entrance next accompanied by Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh.

Orange Cassidy vs. Jay Lethal

Cassidy ducks under a clothesline and gets a headlock, shoulder block, headlock. Lethal gets a headlock, shoulder blocks, Cassidy with armdrags, then puts his hands in his pockets. Lethal is frustrated, Cassidy hits a dropkick off a Lethal Injection. Cassidy with a Tope Suicida, then hits half-hearted kicks on the ramp, Lethal crawls away and Satnam Singh stares down Cassidy.

Letahl attacks Cassidy while he is distracted, Best Friends come onto the ramp dressed as two men in a trench coat. Cassidy hits a crossbody, Lethal blocks a DDT and hits a Dragonscrew. Lethal with stomps to the leg on the steel steps. Lethal traps Cassidy’s leg in ther steps then hits a running dropkick to the steps.

Lethal with stomps, Cassidy kicks Lethal off, Cassidy sends Lethal into the turnbuckle, Lethal hits an Avalanche Dragonscrew then locks in a Figure 4. Cassidy rolls to the ropes, Cassidy escapes a Suplex and hits Stundog Millionaire. Lethal hits the Lethal Combination, cover, 2 count. Lethal goes to the top, Cassidy rolls to the other side of the ring.

Cassidy throws Lethal into the corner, back elbow, Lethal with a chop, Cassidy with strikes then his a diving DDT. Cassidy with a Tornado DDT, cover, 2 count. Cassidy goes for an Orange Punch but his knee gives out, Cassidy hits Beach Break, cover, 2 count. Lethal takes out Cassidy’s knee then goes for the Figure 4 again, Cassidy escapes, Lethal hits the Lethal Injection, cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Jay Lethal!

Sonjay Dutt gets a mic and celebrates, he asks Lethal about Wardlow. “Wardlow” chants. Lethal says Wardlow stuck his nose in our business, and now he will break Cassidy’s leg. Lethal puts the Figure 4 on Cassidy, then Best Friends and Wardlow runs down and Lethal, Dutt and Singh scatter.

Dutt says this isn’t the time, lets do it at Battle of the Belts 3. Wardlow says Welcome to Wardlow’s World. If they don’t have the balls to do it tonight, he’ll do it anytime anywhere, accepting the challenge.

Adam Cole makes his entrance along with the rest of the Undisputed Elite. Cole gets a mic and asks who’s ready for Storytime with Adam Cole. It feels good to be back in this ring with his friends. Cole says he is still not medically cleared. He has thought about our success and things they can work on. They have chemistry, talent, loyalty. Its all about loyalty. He came to AEW because of the Young Bucks, that is loyalty, he has travelled all over the world with reDRagon. Which brings him to the trios tournament.

Cole says there is nothing he wants more than to win the trios title and since he and O’Reilly cant compete. the Bucks will not enter the tournament. He means they wont be physically able to enter the tournament. reDRagon attack the Young bucks from behind. Cole hits the Bucks, a kid is crying in the crowd. Fish puts a chair around Matt’s arm, Hangman Page runs down with a lead pipe and runs off the Undisputed Elite. Page saves the Bucks, then helps Matt to his feet. Page walks away.

Jon Moxley is backstage, he says they’ve been asking him who he wants to win the main event. He says he doesn’t care, when the bell rings he has no respect form anybody. He will not stop until somebody goes to the hospital. He is the best at this, and the BCC will make the Hart Dungeon look like a day-care. Next week, they better be ready.

Earlier today, Schiavone was with Christian Cage, cage said Jungle Boy was raised by terrible human beings, a car drives in hot and Jungle Boy tries to attack Cage. Security hold back Jungle Boy and Christian tells them to arrest him.

Britt Baker makes her entrance with Jamie Hayter and Rebel. Toni Storm makes her entrance next, followed by the AEW Women’s World Champion, Thunder Rosa. Rosa is wearing a “Sandbagging” shirt.

Thunderstorm vs. Dr Britt Baker D.M.D. & Jamie Hayter

Rosa and Baker start, Rosa with strikes, Storm attacks Hayter, Hayter throws her out the ring, Baker with a hip toss into a Lockjaw, Rosa escapes and hits a back drop. Hayter tags in, Rosa with a dropkick, another dropkick in the ropes, then a 3rd dropkick. Rosa covers, 2 count. Storm tags in, stomps in the corner, tag back to Rosa. Rosa with chops, tag back to Storm. Storm with an uppercut, Thunderstorm with duo offence, double suplex, Rosa covers, 2 count.

Rosa with a snapmare, kick tot he back, cover, 2 count. Hayter with a forearm, tag to Baker. Baker with a flatliner into the corner, double knees, cover, 2 count.

Rosa with an enziguri, Hayter tags in, Rosa with a Stunner, tag to Storm. Storm hits a crossbody, cover, 2 count. Storm with a Tornado DDT to Baker on the outside, takes out Rebel, crossbody to Hayter, Waterwheel Drop, cover, 2 count. Hayter blocks a double suplex then suplexes both women. Baker with a forearm, Rosa with a Death Valley Driver, tag to Storm, Rebel distracts Storm, Baker rakes the eyes, then hits an Avalanche Air Raid Crash to Storm.

Hayter with a sliding lariat, Baker with a Curbstomp, cover, 2 count as Rosa breaks the count. Rosa and Baker trade blows, Baker hits an Air Raid Crash, Storm with a DDT, Hayter with a backbreaker. “This is Awesome” chants. Storm and Rosa hit double Germans, hip attacks in the corner, Baker puts Rosa in the way of a hip attack, Hayter hits a Short Arm Lariat on Storm, cover, 1, 2, 3!

A video package for Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti, they are getting married. Kingston interrupts, he says nobody cares about his wedding. When he is done with the wedding, he’ll see Guevara at All Out.

Recap of Hobbs turning on Starks. On commentary Taz says Team Taz is over. He wishes nothing but the best for Starks, Hobbs and Hook.

Powerhouse Hobbs makes his entrance. Ren Jones is already in the ring.

Hobbs with a big splash in the corner. Hobbs hits a Powerslam into the corner, then a Leaping Powerslam. Hobbs with a lariat, kneels on Jones to cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Powerhouse Hobbs!

Ricky Starks’ music hits and Starks attacks Hobbs. Starks with right hands but Hobbs hits a Spinebuster and walks away.

Darby Allin video package. Darby says he was the one who told Khan to hire Brody King. King has been trying to build his name on Darby Allin. King asked for the match. A Coffin Match at Quake On The Lake.

Jim ross makes his entrance to join commentary. Christian Cage makes his entrance for our next match. Out next is Matt Hardy.

Matt Hardy vs. Christian Cage

Hardy attacks Cage right off the bat. Hardy with strikes in the corner, Cage with a slap, then more slaps in the corner, right hands, Hardy pushes Cage off the top rope and Cage falls to the outside. Hardy throws Cage to the barricade. Cage fights out of a Side Effect. Hardy slams Cage into the turnbuckles.

Hardy with a Powerbomb, cover, 2 count. Hardy with strikes against the barricade, Cage throws Hardy into the steel steps. Cage hits a running knee against the steps.

Hardy hits a Superplex, Hardy covers, 2 count. Both men trade blows, Hardy with a back body drop, Hardy with 10 shots in the corner, then hits a elbow drop. Cage escapes a Twist of Fate, pendulum kick, Hardy with a back body drop off the middle rope. Hardy with an elbow drop, cover, 2 count. Cage drops Hardy on the ropes, goes to the top, diving headbutt, cover, 2 count.

Cage chokes Hardy on the ropes, Hardy with a Side Effect, cover, 2 count. Hardy with a Side Effect on the apron then sets up a table. Cage with a right hand, Hardy sets Cage up on the table, Hardy goes for an elbow drop off the apron but Cage moves and Hardy crashes through the table. Cage throws Hardy in the ring, hits the Killswitch, cover, 1, 2, 3!

WINNER: Christian Cage!

Cage gets 2 chairs from under the ring, goes for a Con-Chair-To but Luchasaurus’ music hits. While Cage is distract, Jungle Boy attacks from behind. Cage runs away through the crowd.

Backstage Tony Schiavone is with Daniel Garcia. Garcia says he submitted Danielson, he is the dragon slayer, he has Danielson’s number.

Ethan Page is in the ring, he says why is he not on TV every week. Why doesn’t he have an action figure, why? Ethan Page deserves better. You guys aren’t buying his shirts, you are buying Orange Cassidy shirts or Punk shirts but no Ethan Page. Every week he isn’t on TV the company is leaving money on the table. Stokely Hathaway has walked into the ring in the meantime, he speaks in Page’s ear, then gives Page his card.

As Hathaway walks away, Ethan Page joins him.

Tony Schiavone is with the JAS. Manard says one week from tonight Jericho will be Le Champion and that makes his nipples hard. Parker says they are the greatest faction, Anna Jay says she is Anna JAS, she is the sexiest, the toughest, and she will choke everybody out, she then chokes out a production guys.

Gunn Club makes their entrance. Acclaimed run in and attack Billy Gunn with a trashcan, they throw him into the dumpster. Gunn Club run up the ramp but get taken out with trash cans. Max Caster says start his music, then raps. Gunn Club attack Acclaimed after the rap.

Dumpster Match: Gunn Club vs. The Acclaimed

Bowens hits a double suplex on Gunn Club. Bowen with combo shots, Colton throws Bowens almost into the dumpster, Austin slams the dumpster lid on Bowens. Gunn Club hit a double Powerbomb on Bowens into the Dumpster. they then throws Caster into the dumpster, they go to close the lid but Acclaimed fight out.

Bowens and Austin trade blows on top of the dumpster. Austin throws Bowens off the dumpster onto trashcans. Caster fights off both Gunn Club, they throw him into the side of the dumpster. Gunn Club get a table and set it up on the stage. Colton hits a suplex on the metal grate. Colton with Colt45 on the ramp to Bowens.

Austin climbs on top of the entrance tunnel, Bowen is put on the table, but he fights off. He hits Colton with a trash can. Caster has followed Austin on top of the tunnel. Caster throws Austin off the tunnel into the dumpster. Bowens sets up Colton on the table, Caster hit the Mic Drop off the tunnel, through the table! Bowens throws him into the dumpster and close the lid!

WINNER: The Acclaimed!

Acclaimed lock the dumpster lid shut and then, after some difficulty, push the dumpster off the stage!

Wheeler Yuta makes his entrance, accompanied by William Regal, Regal joins commentary. Judas hits as Chris Jericho makes his entrance, accompanied by Manard and Parker. Claudio Castagnoli comes out to even the odds and stand in Yuta’s corner.

Jericho slaps Yuta, Yuta flicks Jericho’s broken nose. Yuta with strikes, chops in the corner, Jericho escapes the ring. Yuta goes after him, strikes on Jericho against the barricade. Yuta throws Jericho into the barricade. Parker grabs Yuta’s leg, the ref throws Parker and Manard from ringside. Castagnoli chases them up the ramp, Jericho gets a rollup, Yuta with a kick to the face. Yuta with a boot, Jericho knocks him from the top rope.

Yuta with forearms, kicks, atomic drop, enziguri, elbow in the corner, Yuta with a diving forearm. Yuta kips up, double crossbody sends both men down. Both men trade blows, Yuta with a German, another German, a 3rd, a 4th, a 5th, bridging cover, 2 count. Jericho blocks a 6th German and gets the Walls of Jericho! Yuta drags himself to the ropes. Jericho argues with Aubrey, Yuta throws him out of the ring.

Yuta with a Tope Suicida, he gets right back up and hits another Tope. Yuta hits a 3rd Tope Suicida. Yuta goes to the top, diving crossbody, cover, 2 count. Jericho hits a backbreaker, a lariat, then goes for the Lionsault but Yuta gets his knees up.

Yuta goes to the top, he dives but Jericho hits a Codebreaker. Jericho covers, 2 count. Jericho with the Hammer and Anvil elbows, Yuta rakes at Jericho’s nose, Yuta gets the Regal Stretch! Jericho gets a bat, the ref pulls it away, Jericho hits a low blow while she is distracted, Yuta ducks under a Judas Effect, gets a rollup, 2 count. Jericho locks in a Liontamer, Yuta taps out!

WINNER: Chris Jericho!

Jericho doesn’t release the hold. Jon Moxley’s music hit and he runs in through the crowd. Jericho runs away as Moxley hits the ring. Jericho gets a mic and says Moxley unleashed the demon, he open Pandoras box. Next week he’ll get the last survivor of the Hart Dungeon and he will stretch the shit out of you and walks out the new AEW World Champion. Dynamite ends with Jericho and Moxley staring each other down.
