SummerSlam was a game changer for the WWE main roster under the creative guidance of Triple H. Going forward, there will be changes to the overall product and even the roles of babyface and heel.
Pw Insider had an update on the character status of both Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey. Lynch is slated to be the #2 babyface in the women’s division on the Raw brand, while Rousey is slated to be #1 in the Smackdown’s women division, internally.
As you may have surmised from watching Summerslam, Becky Lynch’s turn is official. Lynch is now listed as the Raw brand’s #2 babyface under Bianca Belair.
The WWE internal roster still lists Ronda Rousey as the top babyface for the Smackdown roster, so as of today she is still considered a babyface internally. We will see if that changes in the days ahead
We’ll see what happens going forward. It appears that Rousey will be a heel going forward based on the ending of the Smackdown Women’s Championship match when she attacked Liv Morgan after retaining the title.
As we previously reported, Ronda Rousey was kayfabe fined and suspended due to her SummerSlam actions. That could give her a break from television, but she will remain a top heel.
As far as Lynch is concerned, she might be an ally to Bianca Belair on Raw feuding with the new stable consisting of Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Io Sky; also known as Control.
