Seth Rollins’s tenure in WWE has been spectacular. Following the Shield’s debut at Survivor Series 2012, Seth Rollins became a bona fide star. Before this Saturday’s SummerSlam premium live event, an intriguing development has been made regarding Seth Rollins.

The match between Rollins and Riddle was initially scheduled for the event, but it was cancelled after WWE claimed that Riddle had sustained an injury. After Riddle announced that he was injured, sources claimed that the injury was kayfabe and that the match had been postponed because of “creative modifications.”

According to Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, Rollins was excused from Friday’s scheduled media appearances. No explanation for Rollins’ removal from media was given. Additionally, it is yet unknown if he will be kept on the card.

As was previously mentioned, Rollins was seen on Friday in Nashville working at the WWE tryouts. If Rollins still has a match scheduled for the event, speculation about who he will face has run riot. There have been rumors about people like Dolph Ziggler and top free agent Johnny Gargano. Nothing has been verified as of yet.
