WWE considers itself a global leader in entertainment. The company frequently tours overseas and has television and streaming deals in just about every civilized location. Today, that reach was expanded as SuperSport announced an all-new WWE program for the African market.
WWE Jambo will air every Thursday at 7 PM on SuperSport Grandstand WWE Channel 128. Fans can also catch it on SS Variety 3 and SS Variety 3A. The new series will give the WWE Universe a behind-the-scenes look at all things WWE.
According to the SuperSport website, Jambo will offer breaking news, exclusive interviews, and more. The show’s name is the Swahili word for “hello.” It promises to bring a uniquely African perspective to viewers.
“WWE JAMBO will deliver a unique twist to the breaking news, exclusive interviews and hottest stories in WWE that have all of Africa talking, as well as previews and recaps of Raw, SmackDown, NXT and Premium Live Events, including SummerSlam and Clash at the Castle.
The show is designed to showcase the goings-on in WWE from an African perspective, hence the name itself, the Swahili word for “hello”.
JAMBO WWE will take a fresh approach with regards to presenters. These include Lwazi Volsak, Rosa-Lena Mabunda Mondlane, plus Emeilio Michaels and Vasilis Argyrides. As WWE experts themselves, the presenters will carry the show with their banter and lively debate in short, sharp bursts, ensuring a show of pace and power.”
Jambo will premiere tonight at 7 PM on WWE Channel 128. Fans in Africa will get a chance to see some unique content with a local flair. It should be interesting to see if the new series takes off.
