Ring of Honor held their second pay-per-view event under Tony Khan’s leadership this past weekend. A major title changed hands after Claudio Castagnoli beat Jonathan Gresham for the ROH World Championship.

Gresham had a falling out with Khan hours before the match. The two held a meeting during which Gresham voiced his frustrations. The former ROH Champion reportedly cussed out Khan before asking for his ROH release.

Sean Sapp provided some details pertaining to the ROH-AEW agreement from behind his paywall. Not every ROH performer who worked Death Before Dishonor is currently signed to a full-term deal.

Fightful has learned more about the ROH/AEW agreement, and some of the talent that is working within it.

It was established to Fightful that not everyone who was on ROH Death Before Dishonor is signed, either to a tiered or a full-time deal. There were several former ROH talent who appeared on the show and are still completely free agents.

We noted that we’d heard that former ROH Pure Champion Josh Woods was at ROH Death Before Dishonor PPV, last week’s Dynamite, and appeared on the AEW Dynamite episode tonight. When we followed up and asked about his status with All Elite Wrestling, we learned that he’s currently on a tiered deal with the company, and has been for about a month.

It was further reported that there were communication gaps between Gresham and Khan, as Gresham barely got to talk to Khan before the match. Keep reading Ringside News for more.
