WWE is being investigated by yet another law firm. The company has seen scrutiny from nearly ten different groups in the wake of the Vince McMahon hush money scandal. They are all investigating whether there is merit for a class action suit against WWE for withholding information that caused shareholders to lose money.

Ultimately, WWE’s stock ended up worth more today than it was when the scandal broke. The company announced stronger-than-expected 2nd quarter projected earnings. Rumors of a possible sale have only bolstered those numbers. A class action suit over the price of the stock seems unlikely.

Today, perhaps very late to the party, the law firm of Glancy, Prongay, & Murray LLP announced they are joining the party with a slightly different focus. The firm is launching an investigation on behalf of WWE investors concerning the company’s possible violations of securities laws. In a press release, they described their actions.

“Glancy Prongay & Murray LLP (“GPM”), a leading national shareholder rights law firm, today announced that it has commenced an investigation on behalf of World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (“WWE” or the “Company”) (NYSE: WWE) investors concerning the Company’s possible violations of the federal securities laws.

WWE did acknowledge that they were being investigated in their most recent SEC filing. Time will tell what exactly will come from that search. As interest from various law firms piles up, WWE’s legal team is likely keeping very busy.
