WWE has been running cryptic video packages on television over the past several weeks. They feature relics of many of Edge’s most legendary battles and opponents. Fans believe they are being used to set up the return of the Rated R Superstar after being abandoned by the stable he formed.

Edge has been missing in action since being double-crossed by The Judgment Day on the June 6 episode of Raw. WWE reported that he was suffering from a “non-displaced orbital floor fracture.” Since then, the faction has been feuding with Rey and Dominik Mysterio.

In a new report by Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, it was noted that WWE intended to bring Edge in for tonight’s Raw at Madison Square Garden. A source indicated that travel was set for him to be there, but “some elements” have been canceled. It is not known if this means Edge won’t make it.

“WWE had set travel for Edge to WWE at MSG, but we’re told some elements of that travel had been canceled today. We don’t know what that particularly means or if it affects him being on the show.”

A big angle involving Rey Mysterio and Dominik has been speculated on for some time. Tonight would be the perfect time for that to happen. Edge could somehow get involved if The Judgment Day tries any funny business in their bout with the Mysterios.

It remains to be seen if Edge made it to Madison Square Garden. If he did, he will be returning to a sold-out house on a huge night. Time will tell if that is the case, as there were at least some issues with his travel arrangements.
