Triple H has been named the top person in charge of WWE’s creative. After the retirement of Vince McMahon, there has been a shake-up at the top of the company. Paul Levesque was named the new EVP of talent relations even before the news of Vince stepping down broke. Now, he’s got a lot more on his plate.
WWE fans have been clamoring to see Triple H in control of creative for some time. During his run with the NXT brand, the booking, talent acquisitions, and match quality were widely praised. Now, the WWE Universe is hoping that translates to the main roster, as well.
In a new report by Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, it appears as though WWE talent agrees with the fans. There is optimism and excitement backstage. Many did not want to see Bruce Prichard in charge of creative.
“Talent reaction to the news was general excitement. There were some concerns raised when Bruce Prichard was both heading up creative and in an interim talent relations role, as talent had to ask the person that handled their creative for time off if they wanted it.”
Bruce Prichard will remain with WWE as a member of the creative team. His brief weekend stint in charge is now over. Triple H will be running the show from here on out.
It remains to be seen how much will change with Triple H in charge. Fans and talent alike have both had positive reactions to the news. We could start seeing results as soon as tonight’s episode of Raw.
