WWE returns to the world’s most famous arena for a massive episode of Monday Night Raw this evening. Madison Square Garden is sold out for what will be the first episode of Raw since the retirement of Vince McMahon. Fans in New York are excited about the show, and the numbers show it.
Tonight’s Raw is expected to draw another sell-out crowd. WrestleTix recently reported that there were 12,816 tickets distributed with a configuration allowing a capacity of 12,833 fans. It should be one of the biggest gates for WWE Raw this year.
That fact has been confirmed by Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall. In a new update, he reported that WWE execs said that tonight’s show is the highest-grossing Raw of 2022. That is big news for a company looking for positive PR.
“WWE executives were told last week that the July 25 WWE Raw for Madison Square Garden was the highest grossing WWE Raw of 2022.”
There has been a major upheaval at the top of WWE. With Vince McMahon out, Triple H has been named the head of creative. Stephanie McMahon is now the co-CEO along with Nick Khan. Fans have been curious to see what kinds of changes are implemented.
Tonight’s Monday Night Raw will celebrate 20 years of Rey Mysterio with WWE. Roman Reigns is also slated to be in the house. If you’re unable to tune in for this historic episode of Raw, stick with Ringside News for live results as they happen starting at 8 PM Eastern.
