Ricky Starks won the FTW Championship from Brian Cage at AEW ‘Fyter Fest’ on July 14, 2021. The Absolute One has yet to be pinned for the title and will defend it tonight on Dynamite.

Starks issued an open challenge for the FTW title on the ‘Fyter Fest Night 3’ special edition of Dynamite. The challenge was accepted by Cole Karter who many fans might recognize as Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan in NXT.

#FTW Champion @starkmanjones has issued an FTW Championship Open Challenge for TONIGHT on Wednesday Night Dynamite, and it’s been accepted by @realcolekarter, who’s making his @AEWonTV return LIVE on @TBSNetwork on #AEWDynamite#FyterFest Night 3 @ 8pm ET/7pm CT/8pm PT TONIGHT!

Karter was fired from WWE because he violated their policy. The two parties had agreed to an understanding as the young superstar was told to come back after a year. The former NXT 2.0 star appeared on AEW Dark tapings last week.
