WWE remained a PG-rated product since 2008, as they stopped catering to the TV-14 demographic. Fans were frustrated by this, as they felt the lack of edgy content made the product a waste of time. Eric Bischoff also believes WWE going TV-14 might save their product.

Vince McMahon’s company got fans very excited when news broke that Raw would be moving from a TV-PG rating to TV-14. However, that initial report jumped the gun, as the source came from a prematurely leaked memo.

While speaking on a recent episode of his Strictly Business podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff stated that he believes WWE going TV-14 might save their product, which had gone soft.

“Some of [the implications] may be real and tangible and others subtle and possibly not so significant. I think it’s going to create a lot of anticipation, right?

WWE is also not expected to push the TV-14 rating too far. It remains to be seen how the overall product will change in the coming months. If anything, Easy E will be watching closely along with the rest of us.
