Sting shocked the world when he made his debut in AEW back in December 2020. Since then, he has been featured heavily on AEW television, being paired up with Darby Allin. Greg Valentine also refused to do the job for Sting back in the day.

Sting is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling, having competed in companies such as the NWA, WCW and others. He has defeated the best of the best in the industry as well.

On October 19, 1992, Greg Valentine was supposed to lose to Sting on WCW Saturday Night. However, that did not end up happening. While speaking to  a “Title Match Wrestling” video, Valentine recalled how he quit WCW after he was told to do the job for Sting.

“That didn’t work out all that well because Bill Watts was the booker and I didn’t get along with him at all,” Valentine said. “I ended up quitting… They wanted me to do a job for [lose against] Sting and I just said, ‘I ain’t doing it.’”

Valentine wanted to attack Sting after the match or the following week to start a feud. In the end, none of that happened and that can never be changed now.
