Logan Paul is getting set for an appearance at tonight’s Monday Night Raw. Paul will be the guest on this week’s edition of MizTV, where he will confront his former tag team partner. WWE is hoping to get a nice reaction and draw some extra viewers with Logan’s appearance, but they aren’t putting the weight of the world on his shoulders just yet.
At WrestleMania 38, The Miz turned his back on Logan Paul after a tag team match against The Mysterios. Since then, Logan has signed a new long-term deal with WWE. He could be a thorn in The Miz’s side for quite some time.
Logan Paul won’t be expected to bring too much as he starts his run in WWE. On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about what they’re hoping to get out of Logan. He won’t be expected to carry entire pay-per-views on his back, but they are hoping to draw some curiosity seekers.
“Logan Paul’s not being counted on to pull big pay-per-view numbers, he’s just being counted on to get curiosity people to watch television, which is completely different and may work. We’ll see. We’ll see if, you know, I guess the big thing is if they can get the people in Tampa to cheer him.”
While Logan Paul should have a smooth transition back into WWE, his brother is having a little more trouble. Jake Paul is set to fight Hasim Rahman Jr. at Madison Square Garden on August 6. Thus far, ticket sales have been slow and expectations are that the pay-per-view won’t be as successful as Jake’s previous fights.
That could ultimately lead to Jake Paul joining Logan Paul in WWE. Jake has said he’d love to try it out. For now, Logan is on his own as he gets ready to battle The Miz at SummerSlam.
