WWE will make their return to the UK for a huge premium live event on Saturday, September 3. Clash at the Castle takes place at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Despite some hefty ticket prices when seats went on sale, the company has to be thrilled with sales so far.
There has not been a single match announced for the huge premium live event. That doesn’t mean UK fans aren’t turning out in droves to gobble up tickets. WWE recently passed a huge milestone for the event.
According to WrestleTix on Twitter, WWE has sold over 60,000 tickets for Clash at the Castle. With the current configuration of the stadium, that means only about 11,000 seats remain. It looks like the house will be rocking when the big event finally rolls around.

The last WWE pay-per-view to be broadcast internationally from the UK was 2003’s Insurrextion. This show is much larger in scale, but the desire for fans to attend a massive event is clearly there. With the right card, they could come close to selling the stadium out.
Clash at the Castle will be WWE’s second consecutive stadium show. SummerSlam will take place on July 30 from Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. The WWE Universe was ready for a big show in the UK, and they appear to be ready to turn out in huge numbers.
