Renee Paquette and Bryan Danielson worked together extensively during their time at WWE. Both of them were the hosts of Talking Smack while Danielson was the general manger of the blue brand. Those good old days are long gone. However, Renee Paquette thinks there was something special about working with Danielson.
Paquette and Danielson are going to work together soon once again. As they’re scheduled to be part of a special stage show at Starrcast in Nashville, Renee Paquette is reflecting on their working relationship thus far.
Renee Paquette spoke with Rick Uchinno for Bleav Pro Wrestling and Cageside Seats. She talked about how iconic their show Talking Smack was, and it brought a spark to WWE while finding a new way to entertain the fans.
I loved working with him. There’s something so special about working with him. I mean obviously you look at Bryan, you look at his accolades, and everybody loves the guy. He’s one of the best wrestlers in the entire world. But he was at a time in his career where he was just kind of like, F it. Throwing sh*t against wall. We were saying things we shouldn’t be saying. We were pushing the envelope. And that was the thing to me that was so much fun.
Talking Smack didn’t have a long run, however. The show debuted in August 2016 but suddenly ended in July 2017. It came back in another form later on in 2020, with Kayla Braxton taking the reigns. It’s also gone through a rebranding, now being called The SmackDown LowDown. Both Danielson and Paquette will vibe together once again on July 30 at Starrcast V.
