Edge has been missing in action for the past six episodes of Monday Night Raw. The WWE legend became a babyface after his stable, The Judgment Day, turned their backs on him. WWE noted that edge suffered a “non-displaced orbital floor fracture” during his beat down from his former faction.
Fans have been wondering about Edge’s return ever since. Many were hoping he would be back in time for SummerSlam. WWE has run cryptic video packages on television that many believe point to the return of The Rated R Superstar.
In a new report by Sean Sapp behind Fightful’s paywall, WWE’s plan for Edge’s return was revealed. The company is hoping to bring Edge back for the July 25 Raw from Madison Square Garden. Nothing is confirmed, but WWE is hoping to have him for the go-home Raw heading into SummerSlam.
“WWE has planned to bring Edge into New York City for next week’s WWE Raw from Madison Square Garden. Thus far, we can’t confirm if Edge will actually appear on the July 25 WWE Raw Madison Square Garden show. However, we can confirm that WWE has internal plans to bring him into the show, which will serve as the go-home Raw for Summerslam in Nashville.”
Edge’s return to WWE could be just one week away. There was no word on what exactly they have planned. It would make sense for him to seek revenge against The Judgment Day.
WWE was rumored to be considering turning The Judgment Day into a supernatural faction. Edge was said to be strongly against this idea, so he was written out of the group. A week from today, we might just find out exactly what he’s been thinking during his time off.
